I'm BACK!!! (although not gone too long!)

Hello!!!

Can you believe it? (I'm talking as though people were actually reading this!!!) I'm writing again!! WOW!!

We are going to another wedding this afternoon. Our second in the month of May. Not too bad being spread out with 2 weeks between the two. :) Back a few years ago we actually went to 2 weddings in one day!! I was so exhausted when all was done.

Not much going on these past few days. I've been knitting more. :) And even went to Knit Nite on Thursday night at the yarn shop uptown. So much fun. :) I've been working more on my sock. ;) Love how it's turning out!

Been praying for our friend Harriet. She lives up in northern WI. 84 years old. Had double by-pass this past Monday. She'll be in CCU till sometime next week.

Been enjoying this past week with no rain. (or at least none to 'speak' of.) I know I should be thankful for all the rain we get...especially since the drought conditions we've had the past few years....but I seem to be able to handle only so much rain at one time!! We are suppose to be getting thunderstorms again over the next few days. So I guess...it's back!!

Well I've got some things to do before the wedding.
Have a WONDERFUL Memorial Day weekend. :)
Hugs to all!!

My 3rd Post...I'm on a roll!!

Hello...once again!!!

It's amazing that I'm able to do this. :)

Hope all is well with all those who are reading this. I guess I should 'publish' my new blog. :)

It's raining...yet again. I know we were in quite a drought over the past couple of years + that we are now pretty much out of it + that God know's what we need + what we can handle...but lack of sunshine can get to me after awhile. I thrive, just like flowers, in the sunshine (+ with a bit of rain) to grow. :)

Had an enjoyable but busy day yesterday. I went to a yard sale + a thrift shop...by myself!!! Didn't find anything at the yard sale but found a box full of 'goodies' at the Habitat for Humanity thrift store. :) On Saturdays now, they are having everything 1/2 price in the store due to all the left-over yard sale stuff they get on Tuesdays. They have to move things out before they get 'new' stuff. So I made out quite well!! I have been 'collecting' clear glass dishware. From old 'snack set' plates w/ cups to bowls + serving dishes. I am planning our 30th wedding celebration + I have, in my head, how I want it to be. ;)
After running more errands I met my dear hubby at Kenny G's for lunch. They have the best grilled shrimp salads (at least I think so!!) YUM!!!
Next we went to 'meet' our new baby. (long story!!)
And to top the afternoon off I worked at the Senior Games banquet at the Middle School. I worked with some fun ladies + made $30. :) Was so hungry + tired I just came home (after a stop @ Sonic!!).
The evening was finished off by watching a 'light + comical' movie. Kevin picked from my description......we watched 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'. Quite 'light' in my way of thinking!!!!! Just goes to show you the difference between men + women!!! LOL!!!!

It's Sunday morning + we are being lazy today. I am still recovering from such a busy past couple of weeks. Although we will be going to my grandson's soccer game this afternoon! :)

Have a great day!!
Hugs to all. :)
Thanks for reading.

WOW!!! 2 days in a row!!! (amazing!!)

It's me again!!!
Well. Erin had her baby. :) I will try to post a picture of him when I get the hang of putting pictures on my blog. ;) He was born at 5:48 a.m. May 14th which was her due date. That rarely happens but it's fun when it does!! :D His name is Luke Aaron Higney. (she didn't want Christopher + his new brother to have different last names. It is still her last name. No problem to us!!!) I've seen a picture of him. :) He is adorable!! Blond hair + blue eyes. 7lbs 4oz. Same as Christopher.
Christopher will be spending the night with us again tonight. It took a bit to get in the flow of taking a child to school after not being in that routine for many, many years. LOL!!
I am a bit tired this afternoon. Christopher woke me up at 5:00 this a.m. to go to the bathroom. He went right back to sleep...me not so much!!! I wanted to (should have) gone back to bed after Kevin took him to school but I didn't. ;) LOL!! Oh well!!
Well, I have to go make supper. I told Christopher we'd go to the 'park' (big bear playground) after supper. Just grilled cheese sandwiches + tomato soup for us tonight!! It's hard to know what a 6 year old will eat!! :D
Have a great evening!
Thanks for reading. :)

Day 1...With many more to come...(I hope!!)

Hello!!!

I have decided to try my hand at blogging again. With a new blog, at new title, + new format.

So, here goes!!!....

Today has been quite an unordinary day. We unexpectidly have Christopher, our grandson, here overnight. And possibly tomorrow night, too. His new baby brother is on his way into the world. :) (not our grandson though) (Long story!!!)

Anyway...Kevin will be taking him to school in the morning. We are having quite the good time with him. He is so funny!!! Kevin + I just put him to bed. He's a small boy in our huge, queen-size bed! We will sleep on the sleeper sofa in the Living room so we won't disturb him + he'll actually go to sleep!!

Hannah is working on her 2nd book. She's still trying very hard to get her 1st book published. Still praying that a litterary agent will like her work so much that they will want to send her manuscript to a publisher.

I joined Weight Watchers on January 20, 2009. (for all of those who haven't been reading my Facebook page!!) I have lost 29.2 pounds so far. I still have a 'few' more to lose but am thrilled with the progress thus far!! This is the most weight I have lost at one time. I am quite encouraged with this program.

Kevin + I will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this coming Sept. We are hoping + praying that we will be able to celebrate with all the friends + family that will be able to come. Oh, did I tell you that we hope + pray the celebration will be at the beach in Cornucopia, WI?!?!?

My most happiest place on earth!! I could sit on that beach for hours on end. So relaxing. .... So to all of you reading this please remember this + plan time the end of August (so you + us...can enjoy the beach while it's still warm up there!!! LOL!!!

Well...I guess that's about it for my first post. I've been having computer troubles so I'm hoping this won't be my last!!

Thanks for letting me share.

Hugs to you all!!!

Love ya!!
